Should we celebrate Christmas or not?
Many people will argue that it is not wrong to celebrate
Jesus's birth on the wrong day, and that, it is the heart
that counts.
IMHO, this is not an important issue.
-
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, let others know
that Jesus was not born on Christmas. And that they should
research the origin of Christmas if they are unaware of the
pagan origin of Christmas instead of leaving them in the dark
concerning the fairy tale propagated by the ancient Catholic
church.
My view is expressed in
When were Jesus and John the Baptist born?

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, do not setup
"saturnella" idols, especially Christmas tree, in your home.
This is a Christian liberty issue. These idols attract
demon and unholy activities (curse/spell/bondage/hex/etc).
You may be able to resist them, but when a "weak" Christian
thinks it is okay to setup idols, that person falls.
If you insist on decorating, consider "Winter Wonderland".
Anything red & green is suspect. Check before hanging
anything up. A short list of idols are Christmas tree,
Holly & Ivy, Yule Log, Poinsettia, Reindeer & Sleigh, etc.
Do a search on the origin of these decorations (e.g.,
search "origin Christmas tree").

The Christian lifestyle is to pray/worship + read the bible,
discern God's Heart what He want from you, and do it. It
is not to spend 30 "Xmas" days doing this and that (decorate
places, buy gifts, mail/email cards, etc).
IMHO, the universal church is on "PAUSE" and wastes so much
time for one day. I see people, especially Christians,
overworked - running around doing this and that. Ministries
including evangelism is about bring the life of Jesus to the
lost and dying world every day, not just on Christmas.
Summary
I exhort you to have devotion time every day - obtain God's
Heart and discern what He wants - and do it. Not to follow
tradition - do this and that because these agendas are what
done during Christmas season. If God wants you to attend a
certain Christmas event, do it. If God wants you to avoid
a certain Christmas event, do it. Do not be bounded by
tradition and attend a Christmas event because everybody else
is doing it. For every Christmas event, ask Him if this
event is a good stewardship of your time. Focus on bringing
the life of Jesus to the lost and dying world.
