Jn 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Rm 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Eph 2:14-17 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; in order to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were far off, and to them that were nigh. Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. If one is truly saved, one should be at "peace with God" (blessed assurance). Jesus broke down the dividing wall between us and Father God. However, do not encourage yourself or others to MANIPULATE feelings. If you or someone else do not feel at "peace with God", that feeling is a red flag indicating something wrong between you or that person and God. It is a DEADLY matter to encourage yourself or someone else to MANIPULATE feelings so you or that person thinks one is saved when one is not saved. Feelings are often indicator of a deeper problem. If the person is not right with God (e.g., in sin), that person will not feel at peace with God. That person needs to figure out what is wrong and turn one's life around (e.g. repent of sin). It is "Once Saved" + "Commitment to Jesus" = "Always Saved" where "Commitment to Jesus" means - having an active faith, - living a life of repentance, and - obeying the Lord. When you or someone else does not have "peace with God" feelings, investigate your or that person relationship with God. - Are you or that person having an active faith? E.g. reading the scripture daily, praying daily, serving the Lord - Are you or that person living a life of repentance? I.e., not WILLFULLY sinning? - Are you or that person obeying the Lord? As you or that person makes a radical "Commitment to Jesus", the "peace with God" feeling will naturally come. Let this feeling be an INDICATOR, not encourage it to be MANIPULATED. ********** All scriptures are from the Updated King James Version bible which can found at http://www.geocities.com/updatedkjv/ .
