Lev 4:1-3a And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through IGNORANCE against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them: If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then ... ... Lev 4:13-14a And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through IGNORANCE, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty; When the sin, which they have sinned against it, is known, then ... ... Lev 4:22-23a When a ruler has sinned, and done somewhat through IGNORANCE against any of the commandments of the LORD his God concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty; Or if his sin, wherein he has sinned, come to his knowledge; ... ... Lev 4:27-28a And if any one of the common people sin through IGNORANCE, while he does somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; Or if his sin, which he has sinned, come to his knowledge: then ... ... The Lord expected His people to sin by IGNORANCE, not WILLFULLY. Detailed sacrifices are given for various sins. Heb 10:26-27 For if we sin WILLFULLY after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. When someone sins WILLFULLY, that person is showing contempt and disdain for the grace of God. God will not put up with these sins. The Hebrew passage says that there is no more sacrifice for these sins and that that person is under fiery judgment. It makes no difference whether the offending person is a Christian or not. Also, this passage does not states only unbelievers will WILLFULLY sin. In fact, the offending person is more likely to be a Christian than an unbeliever, since that person heard God's word and knows what is right and wrong. An unbeliever cannot WILLFULLY sin when that person never heard God's word. There is a big difference between sinning WILLFULLY and sinning IGNORANCALLY. One is intentionally while the other is accidentally. If you know you did wrong(s), repent! And if you know something is wrong, do not do it. Jesus's blood was shed on the cross for future sins, but do NOT ABUSE this sacrifice. ********** All scriptures are from the Updated King James Version bible which can found at http://www.geocities.com/updatedkjv/ .
