Heb 13:4-5 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as all of you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. The focus is on the second half of verse 5 where it says "I will never leave you, nor forsake you". Some says that all Christians are saved and will never be forsaken. WRONG!!! In verse 4, it says "whoremongers and adulterers God will judge". The promise, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" are for those whom are without sins. Evildoers will be judged, whether they are Christians or not. Christians can fall away as proven in "1 Cor 6", "Gal 5", and "Eph 5". Also, Christians can and do sin as proven in "Can Christians sin?". It is "Once Saved" + "Commitment to Jesus" = "Always Saved" where "Commitment to Jesus" means - having an active faith, - living a life of repentance, and - obeying the Lord. A person, who is "Committed to Jesus", will shun sins and NOT be an evildoer. Hence, the promise, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" will apply to that person. ********** All scriptures are from the Updated King James Version bible which can found at http://www.geocities.com/updatedkjv/ .
