Is the food you are eating God-made or man-made?

Introduction

Gen 1:10-13 OOYLT
And God calleth to the dry land `Earth,' and to the collection of the waters He hath called `Seas;' and God seeth that it is good. And God saith, `Let the earth yield tender grass, herb sowing seed, fruit-tree (whose seed is in itself) making fruit after its kind, on the earth:' and it is so. And the earth bringeth forth tender grass, herb sowing seed after its kind, and tree making fruit (whose seed is in itself) after its kind; and GOD SEETH THAT IT GOOD; and there is an evening, and there is a morning -- day third.


Think about the original plan that God had for His Creation. God intended for man to eat plant-based food. We were never meant to eat animals or mineral-based food (like salt). It is man that created food we were never meant to eat. For a healthier lifestyle, eat a high percentage of God-made food.

For those whom are trying to lose weight, do not diet. Diet is a four-letters word. It is legalistic and has alot of "don't". Furthermore if you gain the weight back after dieting, your body is in worse shape than if you never dieted. God created food to enjoy, not to control. Make a lifestyle change, not follow some restrictive rule. Find God-made food you like - and do not mess it up with man-made food (e.g., add man-made fat and/or sugar, etc) - but add plant-based spices and herbs - and add it into your meals. Think positively - add healthy food - not cancel junk food. By adding God-made food to your meals, you will naturally eat a lower percentage of man-made food.

Difference between natural and processed sugar

A recent find is about the problem with PUFA (poly unsaturated fatty acid). There are two kind of unsaturated fat: monounsaturated fat and PUFA. The first article listed below in seed oil section, written by One Day MD, quotes
  *  Saturated fats, which have a full complement of hydrogen atoms
  *  Monounsaturated fats, which are missing a single hydrogen atom
  *  PUFAs, which are missing multiple hydrogen atoms
    
  The missing hydrogen atoms make PUFAs highly susceptible to oxidation, which means
  the fat breaks down into harmful metabolites.

Difference between Hybrid and GMO foods

Hybrid and GMO (genetically modified organisms) are not the same. All GMO foods are high-tech hybrid foods. Low-tech hybrid foods are not GMO foods. See quotes from

Farmers and gardeners have been cultivating new plant varieties for thousands of years through selective breeding. They did this by cross-pollinating two different, but related plants over 6 to 10 plant generations, eventually creating a new plant variety.

Unlike hybrid seeds, GMO seeds are not created using natural, low-tech methods. GMO seed varieties are created in a lab using high-tech and sophisticated techniques like gene-splicing.

In short: Hybrid Seeds are nothing to fear, but you may not want to support them given that they fail to breed true and have caused so much global havoc. GMO seeds are far more unnatural and likely to cause harm - both to your environment and your health.

Avoid Eating Blood

Seed Oils (was Omega-6 and Linoleic Acid (LA))

This topic is relatively new for me - I am still learning. Note that the earliest article I listed is last decade. I suspect this is a more recent finding.

There seems to be two lines of thoughts. One group says it is important to balance the ratio of omega-3 vs omega-6 - stop eating food with too much LA. The other group says it is important to avoid oxidizing oils. They agree that highly oxidizing oils should be avoided. The opinion differs concerning low oxidizing oils and non-oils food that have high LA. [Disclaimer: I am no expert - form your own opinion.]

Seed oils are the biggest culprit in causing high LA. God-made food seeds - in moderation - are fine. Seed oils are man-made food - seeds are crushed and oil is extracted. IMHO - I am no expert - the more the seed is manipulated, the worse it is. For example, olive is juicy - compress the oil from the juicy. Avocado is greasy - squish the oil from the flesh. Olive and avocado oils are low oxidizing oils. Legume are semi-soft - need to press alot and extract the oil. Peanut and soybean oils should be avoided. Nuts are rock hard - press, press, press, and squeeze, squeeze. squeeze some oils. Sunflower and safflower oils are very high oxidizing and are terrible for your health. Bottom line: avoid oils made from nuts, legumes, and most vegetables Low oxidizing oils and foods with high LA are debatable.

Unfortunately there is no way to suddenly reduce LA from your body. But do start by not buying foods made with "high LA" seed oil - see article "Top 7 Vegetable Oils to Avoid" listed above. In a few years, you should had reduced LA in your body.

Extrusion in Boxed Cereals

Late 2023, I learned that most boxed cereals undergo extrusion where the food is heated extremely high and shaped (e.g. puffed, flake, shred, o’s) by forcing the food through a hole. Unfortunately, the food changes nature. In specific, the protein becomes toxic and causes inflammation. It is better to bake your own flaked cereal (e.g. How to Make Easy Homemade Flaked Cereal, Homemade “Wheaties” Breakfast Cereal Recipe or cook grains from scratch (e.g. Bob’s Red Mill, Shiloh Farms ). Summary
